Coleraine On Campus Accommodation
Welcome to Coleraine's section for on-campus accommodation. The campus itself is situated at the heart of the Coleraine-Portstewart-Portrush “triangle” area, one of Northern Ireland’s foremost tourist destinations which offers world-class golf courses, sailing, fishing and other outdoor pursuits. Local attractions also include the famous Bushmills Distillery, and the magnificent Giant’s Causeway.
The towns of Portstewart and Portrush offer a wide range of entertainment for students, in the form of nightclubs, bars and restaurants,as well as a health market in private sector accommodation.
The Residential Services office is located in the Residential Village on the Coleraine campus. The Accommodation Officers who manage the on and off-campus accommodation are located there as is the Facilities Manager for the Cranagh Village. The Cranagh Village
This development consists of 350 bed spaces contained within 70 apartments. Each apartment has five en-suite bedrooms. There are three wheelchair accessible rooms and 38 rooms of a superior standard giving students access to a bigger room.
There are six twin rooms for those students wishing to share a bedroom. Broad band is available in all rooms and residents must follow the university's acceptable use policy.
Microwaves and Televisions are standard in this development and the communal area of each apartment is serviced once per week.
Each apartment has an access control system. The coin operated launderette is located on site. Students have to register with the Car Park Management team and are responsible for their own car parking charges.
Errigal/Knocklayde
An On Campus terraced housing development adjacent to all university facilities. All houses and flats have access to unlimited broadband through the university network.
This complex consists of 17 houses.The houses are designed for six or nine students to share.
Each individual study bedroom has a built in wardrobe, wash-hand basin as standard, two shower rooms and two separate toilets.
Each kitchen has a microwave and each living area has a television. There is a communal area service clean once per week. In the outdoor space there resides a number of picnic tables as well as an outdoor room, for the students to use when they please.
There is a coin operated launderette on site. There is a bike shed on site and students wishing to bring a car will be responsible for their own car parking charges.*
Two Person Flats
There are twelve one bedroom (2 students share a bedroom) ensuite flats within the Errigal/Knocklayde complex, three are suitable for wheelchair access. The flats have a compact, fully fitted kitchen/dining area. Each ensuite unit has a shower and a toilet. By special arrangement, flats may be allocated on a single occupancy basis, should you require more space or greater privacy. All of the flats will have access to unlimited broadband as standard.
Additional Requirements Accommodation
The two person flats in Knocklayde are wheelchair accessible and have designated car spaces close by. The study bedrooms have generous space standards.
