Private Accommodation

If campus accommodation is unsuited to your needs, students are more than welcome to search for private accommodation.

NOTE: Students should contact local estate agents, local housing associations and specifically the NI Student Pad. Properties are also widely advertised through the local press.

In Northern Ireland, accommodation in the private rented sector is monitored by the Department for Social Development (DSD).  To view the full regulations which govern private landlords, please click on the link below:

It is important for yourself that you know what type of accommodation you are paying for; therefore it is imporatnt that you give your accomomdation a full review. Download our Inventory and Inspection checklists as an aid.
